Description
Este regreso de la primera parte de la famosa serie presenta gráficos actualizados en alta definición, banda sonora remasterizada y las voces de la tercera parte -Dominic Armato como Guybrush Threepwood, Alexandra Boyd como Elaine Marley y Earl Boen como el pirata fantasma LeChuck.
La interfaz también se ha mejorado para la ocasión, ocultando la famosa tabla de verbos y el inacabable inventario. Asimismo, la edición especial incluye un sistema de pistas, algunas escenas que se omitieron en la versión original por falta de espacio -como un primer plano del locuaz Spiffy, el perro del Scumm Bar que nos resumía la situación sin darnos cuenta- y la posibilidad de volver a los gráficos de antaño con tan sólo pulsar un botón.
La célebre saga de aventuras gráficas recibe además una especie de quinta parte llamada Tales of Monkey Island, desarrollada por TellTale y dividida en cinco episodios mensuales -tal y como ya ocurrió con las dos temporadas de Sam & Max. Pese a que cada entrega es auto-conclusiva, existe una trama central que gira alrededor de un peligroso virus vudú que se desata por el Caribe debido a un error fatal. El primer capítulo -Launch of the Screaming Narwhal- estará disponible esta tarde para todos aquellos que tengan ganas de revisitar un mundo dominado por la piratería, el grog, y las marcas registradas.
